FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VICTORIA, BC — (January 25, 2018) – The Oaklands Community Association (OCA) is pleased to welcome Chris Holt as the association’s new Executive Director.

“Chris will bring leadership and creativity to the association and a deep sense of commitment to community,” says David Driedger, OCA Board Chair. “He has extensive experience in the charity and non-profit sector and a deep passion for social-purpose programming.”

Most recently, Holt was executive director of Providence Farm, an award-winning Cowichan Valley therapeutic community for people with developmental disabilities. Holt's career includes three decades of executive planning, administration, communications and marketing experience in the non-profit and technology sectors. He worked for almost a decade at the Victoria Cool Aid Society, before launching LogicLynx, a tech company that developed solutions for non-profits and governments to streamline and coordinate services for clients.

“I'm excited to join the OCA team and to work with neighbourhood residents and businesses, the City of Victoria, and all levels of government to enrich the quality of life here,” says Holt. “I believe in the transformative possibilities inherent in a strong, compassionate and creative community.”
